How to Better Manage My Time

I want to have time for my important activities. As I continue to get my activities completed, let us evaluate our effectiveness at managing my time. How do I allocate time for others and myself? I am continuously looking at ways on how to "save" time to get more things done. I am busy with traditional activities of life: work, family and social commitments.
The following are five practical techniques on how to better manage my time:
1. I have to create my personal mission statement to include all aspects of my life - spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and social.
2. I have to create goals and a to-do list to support my mission statement for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.
3. I have to prioritize my to-do list based on due dates, relative importance and dependencies on other tasks.
4. I have to say "NO" politely to others when their requests conflict with my mission statement.
5. Track activities with time duration to get a clear view of how my time is being spent.
If my to-do list is on two pages, I reprioritize those tasks to outcome in one page. This amount of act is realistic for me to finish in one day.
